Java Developer (Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic AWS Serverless Architecture Java Developer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining serverless architectures on AWS. This role requires a proactive individual who is adept at developing scalable and efficient cloud-native solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implement serverless applications using AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and interfaces.
Utilize AWS SAM, CloudFormation, or Terraform for infrastructure as code to manage serverless deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Monitor application performance and implement optimizations.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing efforts.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across various environments (development, testing, staging, and production).

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong experience with AWS serverless architecture and AWS core services.
Proficiency in serverless application development using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, SAM, or Terraform.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

Preferred Skills:

AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
Experience with other programming languages such as React JS.
Understanding of security practices and secure coding techniques.
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks.
