Trellist Turns Spontaneous Sales Pitch into Video Sales Tool

Energized trade show pitch gets a national audience

When an executive of a global flooring manufacturer gave a passionate, unplanned sales pitch for a new product at a major trade show, the company – a longtime client of Trellist – instantly knew it had something special. With the product launch rapidly approaching, the company asked Trellist to create a video sales tool based on the impromptu pitch, requiring it be quickly produced on a modest budget. In response, Trellist created an on-location, professionally shot video featuring company employees playing the roles of a retail sales professional and customer, with the executive giving his sales pitch to educate the customer on the new product. Retail sales professionals watching the video would then relate to the situation and use the selling points in their own experiences.

Ensuring a strong launch, Trellist distributed the video as a featured item on the eLearning video series platform it had developed and launched last year for the flooring manufacturer. To generate interest and increase engagement, viewers are automatically entered into a promotional contest when they log in to watch the video. The flooring manufacturer was extremely pleased with the video as well as Trellist’s ability to create and distribute it in a short timeframe and within budget.
