Tyler Holloway, of Trellist’s Project Management Services, is leveraging his skills in management, communications and planning to support an important cause to which he is personally connected.
Jameson Noonan, the son of Tyler’s very best friend, was diagnosed at four months old with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart disease that causes heart muscles to thicken, forcing the heart to work harder than normal to circulate blood throughout the body.
Jameson’s condition was detected early and is treatable. However, he will be held to limited physical activity for the rest of his life. Tyler explains, “it has been difficult to see his parents tell Jameson that he cannot play with his older brother, because it is physically dangerous for him to try and keep up.”
Tyler has worked closely with Jameson’s mother to generate awareness for this heart condition and the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation. Tyler helped Trellist select the foundation as one of three to receive its 2014 holiday season donation.
Now Jameson’s team is planning a fundraising event for all ages cleverly named, “Jameson’s Heartraiser.” The event, which takes place on August 9th, 2014 at the Wilmington Elk’s Lodge, attracted so many local music acts, who are all donating their time, that it is now one of the largest displays of local music in the state.
