A B2B client came to us curious about how they were performing in a competitive market. Turned out their surfacing rate was quite high, #2 most frequently appearing brand out of 500 competitors. This was great insight by itself, but also posed a huge question: how do you take a solid second place and turn it into “undisputed #1” across the AI landscape?

So we built them a set of tailored recommendations that included technical fixes, insight into what metadata matters most to AI, and precisely where the gaps were in their coverage of critical key language.

They rolled out the content changes on their own (no Trellist-led implementation yet), and the results were… honestly wild:

  • 100%+ improvement in overall visibility
  • Now the #1 performing brand in their vertical
  • Ranked as the top recommendation in 25% of all relevant AI searches
  • And they overtook the previous category leader

And again, this was only from the client implementing the content updates themselves. No deeper AI optimization strategy (Which I highly recommend).
