The challenge

Our client sells supporting merchandise for more than 900 college campuses across the country. It needed a new eCommerce experience built from scratch to serve all of them.

The business was spread across six separate online properties, and it did not yet have the people to run a store of this size. It needed a talent acquisition strategy along with the technology.

What we did

Trellist built the store and the team behind it, then stayed on as a long-term technical and digital partner.

  • A hybrid eCommerce team. We deployed on-site and offsite staff to build and support the client's eCommerce team.
  • Six properties into one. We designed and built a new responsive website that consolidated six existing online properties.
  • Secure payments. We enabled PCI compliance and integrated PayPal.
  • Seasons and schools, managed in the CMS. We built seasonal capability and school management inside Ektron so the team could run hundreds of campuses from one place.
