Returning investors saw the same generic experience on every visit.
Experience Platform data now feeds Target, so each return visit picks up from the last one.
The challenge
Trellist has worked inside this global asset manager's Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem for 18 years. The client's next goal was continuity: returning investors should see consistent messaging, offers, and experiences based on what they saw or did on their last visit.
Adobe Target alone could not deliver that. The experiment needed customer data and computed attributes from the client's Adobe Experience Platform instance, injected into the AEM page template so Target could act on them.
What we did
Trellist designed the cross-platform data flow and built the personalization experiment end to end.
- Data from AEP. We extracted profile attributes and behavioral data from the client's AEP instance to power a true last-visit personalization model.
- A custom Target experiment. Trellist built an Adobe Target experiment that governs visit-count rules, impression logic, and results tracking.
- Clean data flow. Our working knowledge of Target, AEP, AEM, and Analytics kept data moving cleanly between systems.
- Senior hands on the build. Senior platform expertise paired with hands-on technical execution shaped the solution around the client's continuity goals.
- Minimal ramp-up. Eighteen years of platform history with the client let the team implement efficiently from the start.
The results
Returning investors now get consistent messaging and offers based on their last visit, powered by data the client already captures in AEP.
- Continuity across the journey for returning investors.
- Higher ROI on the broader martech investment, by putting existing AEP data to work.
- Flexibility for marketing to run sophisticated personalization experiments without adding full-time headcount.
- A reusable pattern the client can apply to future personalization use cases.
