The challenge
Our client was active across social media but had no settled way to say whether that activity was working. Without agreed measures, it was hard to judge performance against industry benchmarks or to explain results beyond the social team.
Different audiences needed different views. Communications and digital teams wanted granular detail across paid, owned, and earned channels, while executives needed a short, clear summary they could act on.
What we did
Trellist defined what success on social should mean for the business, then built the reporting to track it.
- KPIs tied to business goals. We established the right KPIs and measurable goals, starting from a deep understanding of what the business needed social to do.
- Competitor benchmarking. Performance was set against competitors and industry best practices, so every number came with context.
- One rollup across channels. Paid, owned, and earned metrics were brought together into a single view instead of scattered platform reports.
- Two levels of reporting. Communications and digital teams received detailed, granular reports, and executives and corporate leadership received concise summaries to share.
