A government agency was planning to update a critical website that promotes and facilitates a public ferry service. Noting that the existing website didn’t reflect the intended brand, offered a poor user experience, and handicapped internal users with its inflexible content management system, Trellist advised a discovery effort that would be a vital first step to a redesign.

Mobile traffic to an innovative flashlight manufacturer’s website was increasing rapidly, signaling a change in customer behaviors. The manufacturer needed to enhance their mobile website to bring their customers a more up-to-date, user-friendly experience to showcase their products. They also wanted to make their pages responsive so their customers could access the same product information from any device.
Trellist knew a complete site overhaul was in order, starting with updating the site’s look and feel. We also improved site navigation; found an effective way to highlight new products; better enhanced existing product detail information; highlighted the company’s international expansion, social media presence, support and contact information; showcased its YouTube channel and product catalog; and optimized the site’s speed and performance.
Visitors to the new mobile site with the improved brand experience reacted overwhelmingly positively. They were viewing more content and spending more time on the site than before, which meant a greater likelihood of making a purchase. In fact, monthly page views increased by over 362%, while the average session duration increased over 146% from the same time the previous year.
