A virtual reality booth experience that shrinks visitors into the carpet

The challenge

Our client, a leading animal health company, was exhibiting at a major North American veterinary conference. It wanted a booth experience that would stand out against competitors on a crowded show floor.

The message needed to stick. Parasite protection is easy to talk about and hard to feel, so the company wanted attendees to experience the problem firsthand.

What we did

Trellist produced and directed a custom VR experience that attendees viewed with Google Cardboard, earphones, and a smartphone loaded with the app.

  • A complete virtual living room. Attendees stood in a fully realized room with a 360° view.
  • Sound, sight, and music. Realistic sounds and visuals, plus a musical score, made the experience fully immersive.
  • A trip into the carpet. Dramatic movement shrank the viewer down into the carpet, face to face with giant ticks, eggs, and larvae.
  • Key messages reinforced. The experience was built around the company's key messages, so the story stayed with visitors after the headset came off.
