Rescuing a failed migration across 13 regional sites in 5 languages

The challenge

One of the world's largest cybersecurity companies had already tried to move its international websites to a new CMS, and the migration failed. It needed a partner that could get it right the second time.

The platform had to serve regional teams around the world, each with its own language, content, and editors, while keeping shared resources consistent everywhere.

What we did

Trellist won the work through a competitive RFP, and our Enterprise Technology and Digital divisions designed and implemented a strategic solution on Progress Sitefinity CMS.

• Architecture consulting. We provided the technical architecture for a platform housing 13 regional sites in 5 languages.
• A shared content repository. Custom modules let regional site administrators select the resources, news, and events relevant to them from one shared source.
• Custom widgets. Purpose-built widgets gave regional editors flexibility without breaking the global standard.
• Roles-based permissions. Content editors in multiple locations worldwide each get exactly the access they need.
