The Strategic Account Director is accountable for the overall satisfaction and sustainability of their assigned clients’ business. They identify client needs, build consultative relationships and work strategically with project teams to provide thoughtful solutions with measurable results. The Strategic Account Director should enable organic growth within existing accounts while also working with business development teams to respond to RFPs and foster new growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and monitoring account team performance, coaching and mentoring along the way
  • Working with sales and marketing stakeholders to sell in new services/opportunities and respond to client proposals
  • Maintaining a deep knowledge of client’s business, brand, economics, customer insights, marketing strategy/channels, and competitive analysis
  • Assisting in building client marketing and creative strategies, test-and-learn plans, offer strategies, and channel and site strategies
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and retention by building consultative relationships and providing thoughtful business solutions
  • Working with operations and Product & Service Leads to ensure the right project teams are in place to execute top-quality work
  • Representing Trellist as a unique professional services marketing firm and all it has to offer with clients and business prospects

 Candidate must be familiar and capable in several of the following areas: 

  • Has exceptional client service skills, with an ability to partner with and influence senior clients
  • Ability to lead the development of strategic marketing and innovation plans
  • Flawless presentation skills, from conception of a story or pitch to delivery in boardrooms
  • Experience delivering large scale integrated campaigns across all channels
  • Ability to collaborate with strategists, consultants, creatives, and technologists, and ability to seamlessly integrate and draw from diverse skill sets
  • Proven team leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire teams
  • Inventive and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to grow key client relationships
  • Ability to independently lead and make decisions that balance the needs of the client with internal goals and teams
  • 8-10 years of experience with B2B marketing and branding initiatives

Candidate Nice-to-Have Qualities (but not limited to): 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field  
  • Experience in the financial and/or healthcare industries
  • Digital marketing strategy experience
  • Project management experience
