QA Resource

Trellist is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester / Analyst with 1+ years' experience in a development to production environment performing QA functions.  Primary role is to create and execute functional and regression test scripts working within a client facing project team. The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills.  In addition to the execution and creation of test scripts, the successful candidate will be communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities to the project team members.  Actively participate in project meetings with the project team. Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.

This position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Functions as member of team for QA related project activities. Interfaces with developers, business analysts, clients and users
  • Participates in testing efforts across multiple projects
  • Writing detailed test cases and scripts for functional and regression testing
  • Review and provide input on project level documentation
  • Log, track, and validate resolution of identified defects
  • Ensure that a high quality standard is maintained, with a focus on reliability and performance
  • Lead the verification of enhancements, patches and deliverables
  • Escalate quality concerns to management

 

 

Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge in UAT, functional testing, regression testing
  • Ability to execute test scripts in all of the above scenarios
  • Define, create and manage test data to align with testing requirements
  • Ability to create test scripts from functional requirements and project team interviews
  • Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines
  • Experience with web development projects, particularly browser based testing
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proven communication and documentation skills
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting and analytical skills required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience and knowledge in unit testing, system testing, load testing and integration testing
  • Experience with mobile development projects, particularly device and emulator based testing
  • Testing of ADA requirements, experience working with JAWS
  • Knowledge of tools such as JIRA
  • Experience in Manual Testing and Automated Testing environments
  • SQL skills, particularly knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle

Future Responsibilities:

Future Responsibilities:

  • Act as key point of contact for release testing and coordinating QA resources internally and with the client
  • Create test plans and test cases as they relate to testing project requirements to ensure the overall quality of software delivered
  • Create requirement/test case relationship (traceability)
  • Contribute to and assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies
  • Evaluate use of automated testing and make recommendations for QA practice
  • Evaluate and recommend QA standards, metric strategies, and processes, observing industry best practices
