The Marketing Account Manager develops long-term relationships with clients and connects with key stakeholders and business executives. The Account Manager is someone who can bond with the client daily, carry cross-channel Marketing programs to fruition and assist Project Leads in rolling out client presentations. The AM, in conjunction with the Account Director, is accountable for client satisfaction as the day-to-day consultant for their projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Act as day-to-day contact and consultant for junior to mid-level client contacts, with a focus on identifying opportunities and ideas for cross-capability teams to propose new solutions for clients and build long-term relationships
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of client’s business, brand, economics, customer insights, marketing strategy/channels, and competitive analysis
  •  Act as an intermediary, communicating for the customer and the agency and working with PM counterparts to ensure both parties are satisfied
  • Provide regular detailed progress reports and lead client and internal status meetings
  • Provide superior customer service utilizing a variety of tasks and tools, including email, phone, and online presentations, in-person meetings or video chat
  • Deliver timely and successful solutions according to customer needs
  •  Assist in brainstorming marketing and creative strategies, test-and-learn plans, offer strategies, and channel and site strategies
  • Understand and articulate overall program strategy, objectives, measurement strategy, and relevant results for programs
  • Create short decks for client proposals and presentations with guidance and support from Account Director, Project Leads, and PALs
  •  Develop project briefs to ensure client and internal team alignment prior to kickoff
  • Consolidate client feedback and lead discussion with internal team members
  • Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables, working with the Project Manager to communicate clearly to the agency team and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary
  • Identify and monitor potential financial issues related to the project and escalate appropriately
  • Collaborate with Account Director, Product and Services Leaders and Project Leads to develop accurate and informed scopes of work on small to medium-sized projects

Candidate must be familiar and capable in several of the following areas: 

  • Has exceptional client service skills, with an ability to partner with and influence junior to mid-level clients
  • Flawless presentation skills, from conception of a story or pitch to delivery in boardrooms
  • Experience delivering large scale integrated campaigns across all channels
  • Ability to collaborate with strategists, consultants, creatives, and technologists, and ability to seamlessly integrate and draw from diverse skill sets
  • Inventive and entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to grow key client relationships
  • Ability to independently lead and make decisions that balance the needs of the client with internal goals and teams
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing account management or similar roles

Candidate Nice-to-Have Qualities (but not limited to): 

  • Experience leading both B2B and B2C multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field  
  • Experience in the manufacturing, financial and/or healthcare industries
  • Digital marketing strategy experience
  • Project management experience
