Associate Creative Director (ACD) Copy

Trellist Marketing & Technology is growing and we are seeking an Associate Creative Director (ACD) Copy. The ideal candidate will be a marketer, storyteller and strategist.

The ACD Copy will be responsible for developing copy and concepts for Trellist Financial Services clients.  This role requires client interaction, presentation skills and a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Candidates must present a portfolio of work examples including digitally focused, multi-channel materials.



Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills for communicating concepts and campaign creative for client consideration and approval
  • Adopt the voice, personality and tone of client brands by accurately interpreting brand guidelines and tone of voice guidelines
  • Develop breakthrough concepts and writes concise, effective copy for multi-channel direct response campaigns (including direct mail, email and other digital media)
  • Write concise, informative and engaging copy and persuasively communicate creative ideas and rational
  • Establish message strategy and story based on target and segmentation and ensure work is strategically sound and within brand guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively and professionally – from project start to finish – with other team members
  • Demonstrate a level of creative sophistication that exceeds industry standards
  • Manage multiple projects with changing demands while maintaining deadlines and budgets
  • Keep current with new trends in marketing and digital technologies, ADA compliance and best practices

  • The ability to be client facing
  • Previous agency or in-house creative group experience
  • Undergraduate degree (BA or BS)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of agency experience, including Financial Services clients
  • Candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of work
